Comparison

Alternatives to Lattice, 15Five and Leapsome for sales floors

Seven tools people put in front of a sales team, what each is actually for, and the one question none of them answer.

Lattice, Leapsome, 15Five, Culture Amp and PerformYard are HR performance platforms. Ambition and Spinify are sales gamification and scorecard tools. All of them measure the rep. None of them record whether the rep's manager did the coaching they said they would, which is the thing a sales director most needs to know and the thing a tribunal will ask about.

The question none of them answer

"Which of my managers are actually managing?" Every tool below gives you a rep's number, a rep's review, or a rep's score. The manager's own behaviour, the weekly promises they make and whether they keep them, is either unrecorded or recorded by the manager themselves. That is the gap Welivo was built for. Read the tools below with that in mind.

The tools

Lattice

The most complete HR performance platform of the group. Reviews, goals, engagement, one-to-ones, compensation. Built for people teams running a whole company. For a sales team it holds the quarterly review well and the weekly loop not at all. Our full comparison.

Leapsome

Close to Lattice in scope, with a strong learning and development module. Same shape: company-wide, HR-owned, review cycles and engagement. Same gap for a sales floor.

15Five

Started as a weekly check-in tool (the name is the fifteen minutes to write, five to read) and grew into a performance platform. The weekly check-in is the nearest thing in this list to a manager loop, but it is the employee reporting up, not the manager committing down, and there is no rep confirmation of what the manager did.

Culture Amp

Engagement surveys first, performance second. Excellent at telling you how people feel about their manager in aggregate. It cannot tell you whether a specific manager did a specific call review on Tuesday.

PerformYard

Flexible review and goal management, popular with mid-sized companies that want to configure their own cycle. Review-centred. No weekly commitment loop.

Ambition

Sales performance management in the coaching and scorecard sense. Rep scorecards, coaching cadences, gamified contests. Closer to the sales floor than the HR tools, and it does have a coaching module. The coaching record is still the manager's own account.

Spinify

Leaderboards and gamification for sales and contact centre floors. Good at energy. Not a management record of any kind.

Lattice vs Leapsome in one paragraph

They are the two most direct rivals in this list and the differences are at the edges. Lattice has the deeper compensation and HRIS side. Leapsome has the stronger learning module and tends to price more simply for smaller companies. Both run reviews, goals, engagement and one-to-ones well. If you are choosing between them you are choosing an HR platform, and either is fine. Neither is a sales management record.

Where Welivo is different

  • The manager is the subject. Every number on the Monday sheet is about what a manager did, not what a rep scored.
  • Reps confirm, managers do not self-report. The follow-through rate is built from reps' private answers. The manager never sees who said what.
  • Target next to help. A rep short of target with no coaching in four weeks is flagged as unsupported, on the manager's row.
  • No rep logins. One email on Friday.
  • A record that holds up. Hash-chained log, reviews signed by the rep with the figures attached. Built for the January 2027 changes.

We say this plainly: if you need a company-wide review cycle, buy one of the HR platforms above. If you need to know which of your sales managers are managing, and prove it, that is Welivo.
